In the Dnipro, Volunteer Eva Bilichenko organizes the collection of books for military people who are in one of the city’s medical institutions. Before that, she was a home collection where people with disabilities and the elderly live. He tells everything in order to replace the Russian -language literature of the Soviet era in the readership.

According to the volunteer, the first fee was successful. After that, there were several paper books left and then the idea arose to help the military. He says: literature will help them better recover and spend their free time more useful.

“I like to read and understand how much literature will help you feel better. Guys and girls spend a lot of time in hospitals, during treatment. They would be useful to read a lot, have fun and make time more interesting,” the girl said.

Eve tells: among books there are fiction, historical, documentary, educational, biographical literature. They are written in Ukrainian and English. Different genres were collected because each military taste.

“I decided to provide the literature that would be interesting to them. I immediately told, pass books that you have read and wanted to give a loved one. We have different books: from women’s novels to encyclopedia and autobiography,” the volunteer said.

The collection will last until April 1. You can transmit books through the post office. Now the action is active, 74 books have been collected: a volunteer says.

“This time the initiative, perhaps because it is related to the boys and girls of the military, has become more publicized. In the future, the initiative can be developed to something more and distributed in other hospitals where there are no reading halls,” Eva said.
