The Security Service of Ukraine informed Metropolitan Pavlo of the UOC (MP) about the suspicion.
The Security Service of Ukraine confirmed the information about the searches in the Lavra and in the residence of Metropolitan Pavlo Lebed.
The press service of the Security Service of Ukraine said that the agency has collected a well-founded evidence base regarding the involvement of the former abbot of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra Pavlo (Peter Lebed) in inciting religious enmity, justifying and denying the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
In the meantime, a court session has begun in Shevchenkivskyi Court of Kyiv regarding the selection of a preventive measure against the former abbot of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, Metropolitan Pavlo.
The meeting is held in closed session. Journalists are not allowed into the courtroom.
Pavlo previously stated that he was allegedly “sentenced to house arrest.”
Earlier, he also told the believers of the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate that, in addition to his residence, searches are also ongoing in the Lavra.
