Russian missile attack on Lviv Region: 15 people were injured, including a child

KYIV. August 15. During the morning attack of Russian troops on Lviv and the region, six rockets were hit, 15 victims are known, including a 10-year-old child, the head of the Lviv OVA, Maksym Kozytskyi, said on Tuesday.

“the Russians attacked our area with cruise missiles in the period from 05:20 to 05:30. Air defense forces shot down one missile, another 6 were hit. Fortunately, there were no casualties during this rocket attack. 15 people were injured. The youngest victim is 10 years old, the oldest is 72. Most of the victims have scratches and cuts due to broken windows and bruises. Five people were hospitalized,” Kozytskyi said in Telegram.

According to the head of the OVA, “the occupiers damaged about 40 houses.”

In Lviv, as Kozytsky noted:

  • 20 houses in the Railway district were destroyed. There were fires, damaged windows and roofs. “Windows were broken in Lviv Medical College “Monada”, there was also a fire in three buildings of an industrial enterprise,” the head of OVA said.
  • One of the rockets hit the territory of the kindergarten, the building of the kindergarten was damaged.

In the Lviv region, according to the head of the OVA:

  • In Stavchany, Lviv district, 15 residential buildings in the private sector were damaged, 6 of them critically. Cars were also damaged.
  • In the village of Suhovolya, Lviv district, 4 residential buildings in the private sector were damaged by rocket debris. There are no victims.

As of now, the survey of damaged buildings and elimination of the consequences of the impact is ongoing.

“Residents whose homes were destroyed and damaged can apply for compensation for repairs on the Diya platform. The maximum amount of compensation is 200,000 hryvnias,” said Kozytskyi.
