With the participation of Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga on Wednesday, March 19, the Mumbai Business Forum “Ukraine-Indies: Comprehensive Partnership”, organized jointly by World Trade Centre (WTC) Mumbai, All India Association of Industries and Possosa.
As The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reportsThe event became a significant event in strengthening the economic relations between Ukraine and India and the practical development of the agreements of the leaders of the two countries of Vladimir Zelensky and Nari Modi during last year’s visit to the Prime Minister of India to Ukraine.
“Today we are talking about opportunities. Our bilateral relations have great potential. Throughout history, Ukraine and India had really close ties. And we are ready to develop our bilateral relations. The role of India is very important and we invite you to actively cooperate with Ukrainian partners, ”said the Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga, speaking to the forum participants.
The Foreign Minister drew the attention of the audience that the first party of Ukrainian apples came to the port of Mumbai on the eve of the forum, which is a symbolic evidence of a new stage of development of Ukrainian-Indian cooperation.
The Minister also informed the participants of the Forum about the dedication of Ukraine to the peace process, the desire to end the war with a fair peace, the importance of guaranteeing freedom of navigation in the Black Sea.
In his turn, Maharashumar Minister Jaikomar Raval expressed his gratitude to the Foreign Minister and the deep respects of the Ukrainian people in connection with the opening of Ukrainian diploma in Mumbai. He expressed the belief that this step would develop cooperation between the two countries.
“I am convinced that with the opening of the Consulate General of Ukraine in Mumbai trade and bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and India will reach a new level,” the official said.
The forum was attended by more than 130 representatives of leading Indian companies from different sectors of the economy, including IT, agro-industriality, defense-industrial complex, pharmaceuticals and construction.
An important aspect of the event was the presentation of India’s opportunities in the areas of critical for Ukraine. Horizon Group has demonstrated advanced decisions in humanitarian demining and is already being certified in Ukraine.
At the same time, the Minister praised the contribution of Parashar Industries, which belongs to the India citizen who lives in Ukraine. The company is engaged in the development and production of prostheses that help our wounded defenders return to a fulfilling life.
