The ambassadors of the EU, USA, Britain and Germany met with the updated High Council of Justice

Ambassadors of the USA, the European Union, Great Britain and Germany to Ukraine Brigitte Brink, Matti Maasikas, Melinda Simmons and Anka Feldhusen discussed work priorities with the members of the updated High Council of Justice.

This was reported by US Ambassador Bridget Brink in Twitter.

“The USA, EU, Britain, Germany met with the updated High Council of Justice to discuss priorities, the appointment of a powerful High Qualifications Commission, strengthening of judicial discipline and selection, as well as increasing the transparency of decision-making by the Supreme Judicial Council and interaction with civil society,” said Brink.

She added that the ambassadors confirmed their support and emphasized the high expectations of the public and international partners of Ukraine regarding the implementation of the above-mentioned reforms, which is crucial for strengthening the trust of citizens and investors in the courts and promoting Ukraine’s integration into the EU.

In January, the 19th Congress of Judges of Ukraine elected eight members of the High Council of Justice. Thus, the VRP became full-fledged.
