On September 25-29, the Anatoly Khorozov Cup will be held on the ice of the Odessa Sports Palace. As reported Hockey Federation of Ukraine, the leading teams of Ukraine will take part in the competition.
In addition to sports events and activities for young people, a fundraiser will be held for the legendary 12th BrSP “Azov” NSU. Part of the profit from the sale of tickets will be directed to the purchase of state-of-the-art EW systems that will protect frontline fighters from attacks by enemy UAVs.
In addition, the charity tournament, which will be held in Odesa on September 25-29, will draw attention to the defenders of Azovstal, who have been in Russian captivity for the third year. With this cooperation, the Hockey Federation of Ukraine reminds that the future of Ukrainian sports depends on those who defend our freedom today.
This will be the fourth draw of the Cup of Ukraine. The first one took place in 2007, the winner was the Kyiv “Sokil”. The tournament was not held until January 2022. Since then, the competition began to bear the name of Anatoly Khorozov, the first president of the Ukrainian Ice Hockey Federation, the first Ukrainian inducted into the Hall of Fame of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF).
