The panel of judges of the High Anti-Corruption Court (VACS) announced a guilty verdict against the former head of the Main Investigative Department of the General Prosecutor’s Office, Ihor Shcherbina. About this informs Anti-Corruption Center.
Ihor Shcherbina was accused of inciting to give 150,000 dollars to the former director of the DBR Roman Trubawho is his best man.
The verdict was passed by a panel of judges consisting of Ihor Strogiy, Lesya Fedorak and Viktor Maslov.
For this money, the former director of the SBI was supposed to help with the closing of the criminal proceedings, which are being investigated by the territorial administration of the body.
Shcherbina was sentenced to 6 years in prison with confiscation of property. In addition, the court deprived the person of the class rank of senior advisor of justice.
Shcherbina was the former head of the Main Investigative Department of the GPU in 2014-2015. And Truba worked under his leadership. Truba, who later headed the DBR, is Shcherbyna’s godfather.
