The head of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, arrived in Kyiv for a visit


Roberta Metsola arrived in the capital of Ukraine late on Friday evening.

About the arrival of a distinguished guest to Ukraine again it became known from her tweet.

“It is good to return to Ukraine. To these brave people who inspired the world. To heroes who refuse to give up. To those who sacrificed everything for our values. To the Europeans whose home is in our European Union,” Ms Metsola wrote on Saturday night.

She admitted: “Ukraine’s future is membership in the European Union” and that Europe will go “all the way with you.”

Also, the Head of the European Parliament has already met with the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk.

“I’m glad to see my friend Ruslan Stefanchuk again. Cooperation between the European Parliament and the Ukrainian Parliament will be strengthened,” — noted head of the European Parliament.

Stefanchuk in turn emphasizedthat the European Parliament is at the forefront of Ukraine’s support.

The People’s Deputy added that during the meeting the parties discussed sanctions against the Russian Federation, noting that “all possibilities of circumventing restrictions should be stopped.”

In addition, the head of the Ukrainian parliament raised the topic of China’s proposals regarding the so-called “peace treaty”.

“I emphasized that there is a peace formula proposed by the President of Ukraine Zelenskyi. And we call on the world to support this initiative,” concluded Stefanchuk.

Stefanchuk also thanked the European Union for its financial support and macro-financial assistance.

The tribunal for those guilty of Russian aggression against Ukraine: the European Parliament voted “for”. Remove the immunity of Lukashenka and Putin, as well as create a special tribunal for war criminals, as well as use the frozen Russian assets of the Central Bank to pay reparations to Ukraine.
