According to the results of both the state-run Anadolu Agency and the opposition ANKA, Erdogan was ahead of his rival, opposition leader Kemal Kilicdaroglu, in the second round of the election.

The head of Turkey’s CEC said that Erdogan is leading the presidential race with 54.5% after 54% of the votes have been counted. In Kylychdaroglu – 45.5%.

Therefore, Recep Tayyip Erdogan will remain at the head of the country for another presidential term.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyi congratulated on Twitter the current president of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, with re-election and victory.

“We are counting on the further strengthening of the strategic partnership for the benefit of our countries, as well as the strengthening of cooperation for the security and stability of Europe,” Zelenskyy wrote.

According to Anadolu, the head of the High Election Commission of Turkey, Ahmet Yener, declared Erdogan the winner of the election based on the results of counting 99.32% of the votes.

In particular, Erdogan received 51.91% of the votes, and Kemal Kilicdaroglu – 48.09%.
