A section of forest near the Dnipro was allocated contrary to the requirements of the law.
In court, the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office defended the state’s right to forestry land plots with an area of 9.5 hectares and a value of over UAH 204 million.
Prosecutors proved in court that a part of the forest area on the banks of the Dnipro River in Boryspil district was allocated to private property contrary to the requirements of the law.
Later, the land was added to the statutory fund of legal entities, the beneficiary of which is the wife of an ex-people’s deputy, deprived of Ukrainian citizenship – the leader of the “OPZZ” party, banned in Ukraine.
Taking into account the violation of the requirements of the legislation, the regional prosecutor’s office appealed to the court. The commercial court of the Kyiv region satisfied the claim for the return of these lands to state ownership.
Therefore, the prosecutors returned the land on the banks of the Dnieper from the illegal property of the wife of the leader of the banned party “OPZH”.
