The suspect was spying on the bases of the Defense Forces stationed on the territory of Kherson.
Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine detained a Russian agent in Kherson, liberated from the invaders. She turned out to be a nurse from one of the local hospitals.
According to the investigation, during the occupation of the city, the woman was recruited by personnel officers of the FSB. They ordered the nurse to stay in the regional center after the arrival of the Armed Forces in order to collect identification data of the Ukrainian defenders who were being treated at the hospital for the aggressor.
“She also spied on the bases of the Defense Forces, which are stationed in the territory of the regional center. In addition, the Russian agent recorded the consequences of the enemy’s missile and artillery shelling of Kherson and transmitted the relevant “reports” to the FSB via messenger,” the SBU press service added.
Based on the collected evidence, the investigators of the Security Service informed her of the suspicion of “treason committed under martial law”.
She is currently in custody. She faces up to 15 years in prison.
