23 enterprises of the Ukrainian fuel and energy complex collected funds and purchased 50 American-made M113 armored personnel carriers for the needs of the State Border Service.

The head of the State Border Service, Serhiy Deineka, appealed to help the 15th brigade of the mobile border detachment “Steel Border”.
This unit from the Offensive Guard holds and defends the positions in the Kupyansk-Lymansk direction.
Deineka also informed about the steps being taken to provide them with the necessary weapons and what new means have already arrived in the border units.
“The main motivation is that we are different, we really want to win as soon as possible, so we will find, buy, cooperate with partners to get everything we can. The main thing is to protect yourself, protect our Ukraine. You are truly the pride of the border guard, the pride of the entire Ukrainian people. And these are not lofty words, this is the truth that I have to tell you. I am proud of each and every one of you“, emphasized during the meeting with the guards, the head of the department.

According to Minister Herman Galushchenko, representatives of 23 companies of the Ukrainian fuel and energy complex responded to the request of the border guards.
The minister added that representatives of various enterprises, from the oil and gas to nuclear industries, as well as operators of the distribution and gas transportation system, were involved in the fundraising.

M113 armored personnel carrier — one of the most widespread combat vehicles in the world, in service since 1960, currently in service with 44 countries.
Made for more than half a century 80 thousand units in over 40 modifications. The current base model is the M113A2MK1.
Armament in the armored personnel carrier version consists of one 12.7-mm Browning M2 machine gun with the possibility of installing additional protection for the gunner in the turret.
