English midfielder Jesse Lingard apologized for drunk driving in July this year.
Jesse admitted his mistake and said that he accepts the verdict of the court and will pay the fine for what he did.
“I want to admit my mistake and publicly apologize for my unacceptable actions.
I fully understand and accept the consequences of my mistake, putting other people’s lives at risk.
I feel sorry for all my fans and everyone who has followed me and supported me throughout my career. I accept the court’s verdict and the fine,” Lingard was quoted as saying by Goal.
Note that the Manchester police fined Lingard £57,000 for drunk driving. The former Manchester United player is now without a club.
