The State Border Guard Service is conducting a check on the departure of People’s Deputy Dmytrouk abroad

Date:

The State Border Service of Ukraine cooperates with the investigation and conducts the necessary verification to find out the details of the illegal border crossing by current People’s Deputy Artem Dmytruk, said the spokesman of the State Border Service of Ukraine, Colonel Andriy Demchenko.

“As you know, the SBI reported that they initiated a criminal case on the fact of illegal crossing of the border by a sitting People’s Deputy. In my turn, I can point out that the border guards are also conducting the necessary inspection, a relevant group is working directly at the border in order to understand the circumstances and details of this situation,” he said on the air of the telethon on Monday morning.

Demchenko emphasized that the State Border Guard Service closely cooperates with the investigation.

Answering the question about the fact of Dmytrouk’s departure and on what basis it happened, the spokesman said that “we have no right to disclose information about third parties regarding border crossings or detentions in accordance with current legislation.”

As reported, employees of the State Bureau of Investigation under the procedural guidance of the Prosecutor General’s Office initiated criminal proceedings on the fact of the illegal crossing of the border by a sitting People’s Deputy, who was notified on Sunday of suspicion of attacks on citizens.

This is reported on the DBR website without specifying the parliamentarian’s name. The circumstances of the case point to non-factional People’s Deputy Artem Dmytruk, who lives in Odesa, on Sunday he was informed of suspicion due to attacks on a law enforcement officer and a military serviceman.

The People’s Deputy was summoned to the State Bureau of Investigation for investigative and procedural actions on August 29 and 30 at 10:00 a.m.

“Currently, it has been established that the current People’s Deputy crossed the state border illegally and illegally. These facts have already been established. It is still premature to talk directly about the suspicion of illegal border crossing to the deputy and other persons who may have been involved in it,” said the communications adviser of the DBR, Tetyana Sapyan, on the air of the national telethon on Monday.

“We confirm that he crossed the border (in Odesa) and got to Moldova,” she added.

The mass media reported that Dmytruk is allegedly hiding in Moldova. He did not confirm or deny this information, at the same time he stated that they are allegedly trying to liquidate him or put him in prison for his “state position, political views and defense of the Orthodox faith.”

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his video message said that on Monday, August 26, he will hold a meeting with the participation of the heads of law enforcement agencies, in particular, the SBU and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
