The “Ukrainian Bookshelf” project was launched in the Orland Library in Lisbon

The “Ukrainian Bookshelf” was opened by Edith Guimarainsh, head of the department of the Lisbon library network. At the ceremony itself, Diogo Moura, adviser on culture of the Mayor of Lisbon, and temporary attorney Volodymyr Kozlov also spoke.

The department said that the collection includes modern literature from Ukrainian publishing houses, many different books for children (poems, fairy tales, collections of short stories, etc.), books about Ukraine and its history, several books in English.

From now on, in the library named after Orland Ribeiro, you can also find books in Ukrainian, in particular for children, which can be ordered free of charge for 30 days.

The Ministry of Culture noted that the “Ukrainian Bookshelf” project was initiated by the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska together with the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, as well as the Ukrainian Book Institute together with Ukrainian embassies abroad.
