There is no capacity deficit in Ukraine’s energy system for 20 days in a row, electricity import is insignificant – “Ukrenergo”

Date:

There has been no capacity deficit in Ukraine’s power system for 20 days in a row, and it is currently not forecast. On March 3, the Ukrenergo press service reported on Telegram.
Consumption volumes are currently at the level of a working day, they are fully covered by Ukrainian electricity generation and insignificant imports.

“All types of power plants in the power system are working. The amount of available generation capacity helps increase its operational safety. There are currently no network restrictions in the networks of “Ukrenergo”, which make it necessary to restrict consumers in the regions. But if the situation in the power system changes and consumption increases sharply, blackouts are possible,” the company said.

Damage to the networks of the distribution system operator was recorded in the Donetsk region as a result of shelling by the Russian occupiers.

“Ukrenergo” emphasized that energy workers are continuing repair work on all power system facilities that were previously damaged by Russian missile and drone attacks.
