Conor McGregor says he ‘got away with it’ after being hit by a car.
The UFC star posted a video of the aftermath of the crash on Instagram, showing the driver apologizing and asking if McGregor was okay.
Irish fighter McGregor, 34, appears dazed but unharmed in the footage.
The video then shows the driver giving two-time UFC champion McGregor and his broken bike a ride home.
“I was just hit by a car from behind. The driver couldn’t see me because of the sun,” McGregor wrote.
“Full speed right through me. Thank God it wasn’t my time.
“Thank you also for wrestling and judo. A conscious landing saved my life.”
McGregor has not fought since breaking his leg in a loss to American Dustin Poirier in July 2021.
In October, UFC president Dana White confirmed that McGregor had been removed from the United States Anti-Doping Agency’s (USADA) testing pool, meaning he is ineligible to compete.
According to the rules, UFC fighters must be tested for six months and pass a minimum of two tests before they can fight.
However, McGregor fueled speculation of a return to competition in 2023 by tweeting his intention to return to the pool.
