Ukraine considers it extremely important to be presented at the NATO Summit in the Hague (Netherlands) and become part of its success – both through personal presence at the highest level and through strong decisions of the summit, said Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga.
During the online output at the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, the USA, the USA, Sibiga stressed that it was important for allies in the Hague to send clear signals of unity, strength and stability, especially against the background of increased air terror of Russia, which it has grown since May 24.
“In these three days, Russia launched 995 rockets and drones in total. Almost a thousand in just three days. Last night, Russia has conducted a combined attack using 364 missiles and drones – an absolute record of terror. It is a clear confirmation that Putin did not seek peace.”
The Minister called on the Alliance to apply all diplomatic, political, economic and military levers to deprive Russia of illusions about the possibility of winning war.
“Increasing the sanction pressure on Russia together with military and financial support of Ukraine will be the correct answer to Russia’s bullying on peace initiatives,” the minister said.
The head of Ukrainian diplomacy noted that Ukraine is implementing NATO standards and best practices, combining them with its own innovations. The Minister told members of the Alliance about the achievements of the Ukrainian defense industry and the purpose of increasing the defense self -sufficiency of Ukraine and the rest of Europe.
Sibiga expressed deep gratitude to the Alliance members for comprehensive support throughout the full -scale invasion of Russia and expressed his personal gratitude to the Secretary -General Mark Rutte for his efforts to support Ukraine.
