Ukraine is moving confidently into the EU

Date:

Ukraine is confidently moving towards joining the EU, working on reforms and should continue to do so in the future. The member of the European Parliament, Michael Galer, told Channel 5 exclusively about this.

He arrived in Kyiv the day before. Visited Bucha and Gostomel, which became symbols of struggle and suffering during the full-scale invasion. In addition, he met with the Prime Minister of Ukraine, the Minister of Defense, representatives of the government, and the mayor of Kyiv. In particular, he held talks with the fifth president of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko.

“Ukraine embarked on the path of reforms after the Revolution of Dignity. And now they continue confidently. War is an extraordinary situation. But we don’t want to end up with a situation where all is lost. We see that Ukraine is working on decentralization. It is important to continue working on the reform of the Constitutional Court. Of course, Ukraine will not join the EU during the war. But it must continue to develop step by step,” said Michael Galer.
