With the support of the Ambassador of Ukraine in Serbia, the first “Ukrainian Library” was opened

A landmark event for the entire Ukrainian community in Serbia took place in Belgrade.

May 11 of this year the opening of the first “Ukrainian Library” in Serbia took place in the “KROKODIL” Cultural Center (Karaђorђeva 43).

The library’s fund includes about 400 books in Ukrainian for children and adults, which were purchased with the funds of Serbian patrons as part of the humanitarian campaign and the trip of the delegation of the “Crocodile” center to Ukraine. The event dedicated to the opening of the library was attended by the Ukrainian writer and editor Tetyana Piankova, who presented her novel “The Age of Red Ants”, which highlights the topic of the genocide of the Ukrainian people in the period 1932-1933, as well as the Ukrainian writer and journalist, head of the Transcarpathian Organization of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine Vasyl Kuzan.
