The speech of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi should be the first event within the framework of the Munich Security Conference.
This intention was confirmed by the organizers of the conference, as well as the president’s office, the correspondent of “European Pravda” reports from Munich.
The half-hour panel with the participation of the President of Ukraine, who will join the event via video link, should take place immediately after the welcoming speech of the chairman of the Munich Security Conference, Christoph Heusgen.
The event was included in the conference program under the name “David-on-Dnieper: Ukrainian battle for freedom”, using an allusion to the biblical legend about David, who defeated Goliath, who was stronger than him. Details about the panelists in the public program are currently not disclosed, although there is talk of a speech by the president in Munich.
The spokesman of the Ukrainian head of state, Sergey Nikiforov, confirmed to “European Truth” that the president’s speech at the opening of the conference was indeed planned.
This year’s Munich Security Conference will largely be devoted to Ukraine, its victory in the war with the Russian Federation, as well as the issue of the future world order.
