Kostyantyn Kryvopust: “Odesa ports are loading grain into ships waiting for the opportunity to go to sea”

Date:

The first ships with Ukrainian grain, which have been blocked in Ukrainian waters since the beginning of the war, are being loaded in the ports of Odesa region.

There are 17 ships with almost 600,000 tons of cargo in the ports. Of them, 16 vessels with Ukrainian grain with a total tonnage of about 580,000 tons will soon arrive at the ports of destination.

As reported, on July 29, the ambassadors of the “Big Seven” countries in Ukraine arrived in Odesa to check the launch of the grain corridor.

Under the auspices of the UN, Ukraine and Turkey signed an agreement in Istanbul on July 22 to restore the safe export of Ukrainian grain through the Black Sea.

On the morning of July 23, the Russian occupiers attacked the Odesa sea trade port with Kalibr cruise missiles. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine stated that the Russian Federation, with a missile attack on the port, called into question the agreements it had given to the UN and Turkey in the “grain” agreement. The head of the UN unconditionally condemned the reports of airstrikes in Odesa, referring to the commitments made by the parties at the signing ceremony in Istanbul.
