A connoisseur of the “Russian peace” in a cassock was detained near Kyiv

Date:

Batyushka, who cooperated with the occupiers, was stopped by border guards at the entrance to the capital.

During the occupation of Kyiv region, the Russian military kept Ukrainian volunteers in the basement of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate), where he is the abbot. In an interview with Kremlin propagandists, the priest himself lamented that Russian troops had not launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine earlier.

As the State Border Service said, during the occupation of one of the villages in the Kyiv region, the detainee cooperated with the occupiers, fed them and provided information about Ukrainians. In addition, the priest said in an interview with Kremlin media that if Russian troops had launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2014, they would have been “welcomed with flowers.”

“It was necessary to support Yanukovych then,” said the father-collaborator.

The State Border Guard Service published a fragment of the priest’s interview with Russian propagandists on its pages in social networks. The border guards sent the father “to confess” to police officers.

Earlier, the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense said that the Ukrainian side gave Russia another churchman-collaborator of the UOC (MP) to help return a hundred Ukrainian defenders from Russian captivity.
