Microsoft published a statement that reassured users who were worried that Activision and Blizzard games would no longer be available on PlayStation consoles.
The corporation announced an agreement with Sony on further cooperation, under which Activision Blizzard’s popular franchises will continue to appear on the competing platform even after the end of the “current agreements”.
“To clarify, Microsoft will continue to release Call of Duty and other popular Activision Blizzard titles on PlayStation, subject to current agreements. And we have promised Sony that we will continue to release PlayStation games outside of existing contracts in the future so that Sony fans can continue to enjoy their favorite games,” the statement said.
According to Microsoft president and general counsel Brad Smith, the company is currently in talks with Nintendo to continue releasing Activision Blizzard games there.
