It states that the Cypriot Weplay Media Holding Limited (Weplay Media Holding Limited), to which the PariMatch trademark is registered, appealed to the Supreme Court as a court of first instance with an administrative lawsuit against President Zelenskyi demanding that the decree of March 10 be declared illegal and invalid 2023 on the application of sanctions.
“The claims are based on the fact that the activities of the plaintiff (Weplay Media Holding Limited), which is part of the Ukrainian Parimatch group of companies, are exclusively related to the ownership of objects of intellectual property rights (trademarks, software) and a share in the authorized capital of the LLC” Pokermatch.ua”.
According to the text of the statement of claim, the plaintiff does not cooperate with the aggressor state or the Republic of Belarus, their citizens and/or residents; the beneficial owners of Weplay Media Holding Limited are citizens of Ukraine, and there are no residents of the aggressor state among the shareholders of the named company, so its activity, the plaintiff is convinced, does not pose a threat to the national security of Ukraine,” the decision reads.
In the lawsuit, the company also noted that after the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the terrorist country of Russia, Parimatch “ceased any cooperation with residents of the Russian Federation” and “takes all possible measures to stop the use of intellectual property objects on the territory of the Russian Federation.”
