Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau confirmed a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi during his visit to Canada today, September 22.

The leaders will discuss Canada’s military, economic and humanitarian support for Ukraine. Also, Zelenskyi and Trudeau will sign an agreement on continuing to strengthen economic ties between the countries.
“In close coordination, we will apply greater economic pressure on the Putin regime until it respects the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, including in sectors strategically important to Russia, such as oil and gas,” the Canadian government said in a statement.
The President of Ukraine will address the Parliament in Ottawa, after which he will travel to Toronto, where he will meet with Canadian business leaders to strengthen private sector investment in Ukraine’s future.
