MotoGP. Bagnaia won the Italian Grand Prix sprint

Current world champion Francesco Bagnaia won the sprint of the home Italian Grand Prix at the Mugello circuit. The leader Ducati started from fifth position, won the start and led until the end of the race. This victory was his first in sprints this season.

Second place went to Gresini’s Marc Marquez, nearly a second and a half behind Banyaya. At the same time, the eight-time world champion set the fastest lap of the race. GASGAS Tech3’s Pedro Acosta rounded out the top three.

World Riders’ Championship leader and pole-holder Jorge Martin spent half the race in second place, then passed Marquez before crashing and retiring on the eighth lap.
