Turkey ratified the free trade agreement with Ukraine

Turkey ratified the free trade agreement with Ukraine, informs Anadolu with reference to the country’s official newspaper on Friday.

The agreement was signed on February 3, 2022, and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan approved the agreement and its annexes on Thursday.

The volume of bilateral trade between Turkey and Ukraine in 2023 was $7.3 billion, Turkish Trade Minister Omer Bolat said on Thursday after a meeting with First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyridenko.

He emphasized that it is expected that within the framework of the free trade agreement, the volume of trade will increase to $10 billion in a short period.

The main areas of trade between the two countries are ferrous metallurgy, mechanical engineering, energy, automobile construction and grain.
