Under the procedural leadership of the Desnyan District Prosecutor’s Office of the city of Kyiv, the former head of the structural division of the “Kyivzelenbud” KO and the director of the contracting organization were suspected. According to the journalists’ investigation, similar cases of corruption have taken place before. Journalist Mykhailo Tkach, in an article for “Ukrainian Pravda”, exposed a scheme where friendship with the mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klitschko, allowed two young businessmen to win tenders worth more than 100 million hryvnias. One of the major projects in the amount of 10 million hryvnias was aimed at the capital repair of the retaining wall in the Poznyaki park in Darnytskyi district, and another project included the capital repair of the road and trail network in Obolon. “It’s quite natural that one of the friends already moved from Pechersk to the Cote d’Azur a few months ago, where, judging by his wife’s social networks, they live in a villa and slowly started switching to Rolls Royces,” the journalist wrote.
