Kyiv law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the explosion at one of the radio studios in Kyiv on Sunday, the press service of the city police reports.
“Information about the explosion was received today by the Pechersk police department. An investigative team and explosives technicians were immediately dispatched to the scene,” it was said in the message.
It is noted that it was previously established that an army detonator, which was in the room as an exhibit, exploded. As a result of the explosion, a woman, born in 1999, was injured and was hospitalized.
Based on this fact, the law enforcement officers started criminal proceedings under Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives).
All the circumstances of the event are being investigated.
As reported Internet publication “Society”an ammunition explosion occurred in the studio of the “Army FM” radio station, as a result of which the radio host was injured, she was hospitalized. The publication notes that this ammunition has been in the studio since 2019.
According to representatives of the radio station, the victim’s life is not in danger.
