Under the procedural guidance of the Prosecutor General’s Office, employees of the State Bureau of Investigation exposed and informed the head of the personnel unit of one of the territorial defense battalions about the suspicion of obtaining an illegal benefit in a particularly large amount.
According to the investigation, the suspect demanded an illegal benefit in the total amount of UAH 1,230,000.
For 75,000 hryvnias each, he promised 14 servicemen to transfer them to a new training center at the base of the brigade. And also ensure the possibility of their movement from the front line to the rear.
And the personnel officer promised to assist one of the servicemen in not being brought to administrative and criminal responsibility. He estimated these services at UAH 180,000.
He was detained after receiving an illegal benefit.
A number of searches were conducted at the place of service, in the vehicle, as well as at the place of residence of the suspect.
At present, a preventive measure in the form of detention has been applied to him.
