Dmytro Buryak: The head of the WHO named the deadlines for the end of the coronavirus pandemic

According to the World Health Organization, the end of the Covid-19 pandemic may come at the end of 2023.

Director-General of the WHO, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, called the end of the pandemic.

The press service of the WHO noted that the number of deaths from the coronavirus for the first time was lower than on the day when the organization announced the beginning of the pandemic and used the term “pandemic” in connection with the spread of SARS-CoV-2.

I am confident that at some point this year we will be able to say that Covid-19 has ended as a public health emergency of international concern and as a pandemic, said Ghebreyesus.

Gebreis reminded that on March 11, three years have passed since the WHO declared the coronavirus pandemic. However, in his opinion, much more important was that the organization declared the spread of Covid-19 as a public health emergency of international concern.
