A resident of Donetsk region, who participates in the activities of armed groups not provided for by law, was convicted in a special trial for public accusation by the prosecutors of the Chernivtsi regional prosecutor’s office.
He was sentenced to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.
The prosecutor proved in court that since 2014, the man has been serving in the combat units of the 11th separate motorized rifle regiment of the terrorist organization “DNR”. He was involved in the battles for Savur-Mohyla, Avdiivka and Donetsk International Airport. Since 2018, he has been the commander of the 6th tank of the 2nd tank company of the tank battalion of the 11th separate motorized rifle regiment of the DNR terrorist organization.
The person continues to serve in terrorist ranks and closely cooperates with Russian military personnel.
The beginning of the sentence of the convicted person will be calculated from the date of his detention.
