In Kyiv, entrepreneurs produced unusable ammunition

In the capital, two entrepreneurs were informed about the suspicion of manufacturing unusable ammunition. The extras in the case turned out to be a couple. They are former managers of two private enterprises.

Case details

According to the investigation, one of the commercial enterprises received advance payment in the amount of more than UAH 2.8 million from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

The enterprise was a subcontractor in the execution of a state defense order for the production of artillery shells.

“With the funds received, the company purchased gunpowder from another subcontractor that did not meet the requirements of the technical conditions. This led to the subsequent supply to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine of ammunition that is not suitable for use as intended, and the batch is not allowed to be used in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.”says the message.

Punishment

The spouses are accused of fraud on a particularly large scale (Part 4 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

We will remind you that earlier we wrote that the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office informed the director of one of the private firms about the suspicion. The figure of the case is accused of supply low-quality uniforms for the Armed Forces for more than UAH 35 million.
