In Sumy, 8 people died as a result of the occupiers’ attacks on the hospital – the president

Eight people were killed and 11 injured as a result of an attack by drones on a hospital in Sumy on Saturday morning, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

“Amounts Russia hit one of the city’s hospitals with “shahedas”. So far, 8 people have died. My condolences to the families and loved ones. Eleven people were injured, 113 patients were evacuated from the hospital. The rescue operation is ongoing. We eliminate the consequences, save lives. We are doing our best to provide our people with the necessary assistance,” – Zelensky wrote in the Telegram channel.

“Everyone in the world who talks about this war should pay attention to where Russia is hitting. They are at war with hospitals, civilian objects, people’s lives. Only force can force Russia to make peace. Peace through strength is the only right way,” added the Ukrainian head of state.

As reported, in Sumy, the Russians hit a medical facility twice. It was reported earlier about seven dead and 12 seriously injured. At the time of the explosions, there were 86 patients in the hospital, 15 of them with reduced mobility, and 38 employees of the institution. In addition, the Russian occupiers carried out an airstrike with unmanned aerial vehicles on a residential quarter in Sumy, no casualties were reported.

A pre-trial investigation into the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) is ongoing.
