Laureates are determined in nine nominations every year.
The Department of Culture announced the beginning of the collection of applications for the “Kyiv” Art Prize.
She reported about it deputy head of the KMDA Anna Starostenko on the KMDA website.
“The enemy is trying to destroy our cultural identity. Therefore, especially in the conditions of war, it is important to support Ukrainian artists who hold the cultural front with dignity and bring our Victory closer,” Hanna Starostenko emphasized.
She also reminded that works will be considered in nine nominations:
- in the field of literature — Yevhen Pluzhnyk “Kyiv” Art Prize;
- in the field of cinematography — Ivan Mykolaichuk “Kyiv” Art Award;
- in the field of musical composition — Artemy Vedel “Kyiv” Art Award;
- in the field of theater art — the “Kyiv” Art Award named after Amvrosy Buchma;
- in the field of fine arts — the Kyiv Art Prize named after Serhiy Shyshko;
- in the field of journalism — “Kyiv” Art Award named after Anatoly Moskalenko;
- in the field of folk decorative art — the Kyiv Art Prize named after Serhiy Kolos;
- in the field of choreographic art — Pavlo Virskyi “Kyiv” Art Prize;
- in the field of circus art — the “Kyiv” Art Prize named after the brothers Vasyl and Oleksandr Yalovy.
One or a group of up to 3 artists who live and work in Kyiv can nominate new original works created within the last three years, but no later than six months before nomination for the award, for the award.
Submissions can be made by creative unions, scientific institutions, higher educational institutions, institutions of culture and arts, theater-performance and theater-concert organizations and enterprises, publishing houses, editorial offices of newspapers and magazines.
Materials must be submitted to the Department of Culture no later than March 20 at the address: Kyiv, 01 024, T. Shevchenko Blvd., 3, office No. 317.
The minutes of the meeting at which the decision was made to nominate the candidate(s) for the Kyiv Art Prize (2 copies with seals) and the creative characteristics of the candidate(s) (2 copies with seals) should be attached to the application letter.
