The cook’s wonderful cake attracted the attention of social networks and even received a positive reaction from the woman’s favorite actor – Jim Carrey, who played the Grinch in the film adaptation.

Lara Mason, owner of Cake Anything Bakery, made the original life-size Grinch cake. The woman was based on the character played by Jim Carrey in the 2000 film.
It took Mason 3 days to prepare the New Year’s dessert.
How Lara made a cake
According to the woman, she tried to make an edible Grinch 9 years ago, but then she failed to make a cake. This year, Mason decided to try again – and the result exceeded all her expectations.
This time it turned out very well – I wanted to do everything right. We started with the inner frame that my husband made and slowly built the cake around it,

The baker noted that it was quite difficult to make the cake – the reason for this was the woman’s health and New Year’s preparations. Initially, Mason planned to prepare the cake for 17 days, but the time had to be shortened significantly.
It was definitely challenging to only give myself 3 days to get everything done, especially with recovery from surgery, COVID-19 and two young children,
– said the cook.
Lara said that the Grinch is made of regular biscuits that were stacked on top of each other. Between each layer is vanilla and chocolate frosting, and the top of the edible sculpture is decorated with chocolate ganache, which has hardened and held its shape.
