“We visited the exhibition “War: a woman’s view”, where young Ukrainian photographers shared their views on the experience of surviving the war. It was opened on February 24 in the courtyard of the Paris City Hall, Marina Honda shared. — We also met with Arnaud Ngatcha, deputy mayor of Paris. In particular, they agreed on the opening of the photo exhibition “Kyiv — the unbreakable heart of Europe”, which has already been seen in Prague, Ljubljana, Giessen, Mexico City, Berlin, Munich and Fürstenfeldbruck.
According to her, art is a powerful tool to attract additional attention of foreigners to the war in Ukraine. It was previously proposed to open it in Paris before Kyiv Day.
Also, at the meeting with Pierre Baillet, Secretary General of the AIMF (Association Internationale des Maires Francophones, International Association of Mayors of Francophone Cities — ed.), a number of important issues were discussed about the next steps of the Association’s cooperation with Kyiv and the Association of Cities of Ukraine.
“Thank you to Paris for the consolidated support of Kyiv and Ukraine from the first day of the full-scale invasion!” – said Marina Honda.
In February 2023, the head of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, came to Kyiv and spoke at the Kyiv City Council. On behalf of the Parisians, she expressed support to the Kyivans and Ukrainians and assured that the citizens of Europe, the citizens of France and Paris will stand by the Ukrainians until victory.
