Kyivteploenergo workers replaced five kilometers of emergency heating networks in Obolon, Podol, Svyatoshyn and part of the Shevchenkiv district.
In three months of 2023, emergency repair crews of Kyivteploenergo eliminated 2,200 damages to heating and hot water supply networks, as well as more than 1,400 damages to heating equipment.
38 HEATING REPAIR TEAMS WORK IN KYIV
Promptly identify the place of damage, eliminate the accident and restore heat supply to consumers as soon as possible – these are the tasks that repairmen face. Usually, the terms of restoration of heat supply services last no more than a day on average.
After detection of damage, it is immediately localized, the section of the heating network is disconnected. One of the city’s 38 emergency and restoration teams goes to the place and starts repair work. If the damage occurred without the coolant leaking onto the surface, a specialized diagnostic service is involved.
IT IS DIFFICULT TO REPAIR THE HEATING NETWORKS DUE TO EXTENSIVE UNDERGROUND COMMUNICATIONS
To date, since the beginning of the year, the largest number of pipes have been replaced in Obolonskyi, Podilskyi, Sviatoshynskyi and part of Shevchenkivskyi district. In total, 5 km of heating networks were transferred, including 3 km of centralized heating and 2 km of hot water supply.
Every day, in all districts of the capital, Kyivteploenergo simultaneously engages more than 400 workers of the emergency recovery service and about 150 units of special equipment (quick response vehicles, excavators, lifting cranes, trucks, etc.).
It is worth knowing that restoration work in Kyiv is complicated by the extensive underground communication system.
That is why heating companies interact with representatives of the city’s service services (gas plants, electricity, water supply, etc.) in order not to damage other city networks. After digging, the damaged section of the pipeline is dismantled, and a new one is laid in its place and the heat supply is restored.
“Kyivteploenergo” emergency crews eliminate 40 damages to heating networks every day. Since the beginning of the heating season, emergency crews of “Kyivteploenergo” have eliminated more than 4,000 damages to heating networks.
