For many centuries, people have been coming up with new and new recipes for cooking meat. It is called a meat dish “lamb in the oven”. This dish began to be served on holidays, at wedding banquets, birthdays, and also just to pamper yourself. Lamb is a very fragrant and tender meat, which is excellent combined with dried fruitsand even more so with mint. This recipe is quite popular in the cuisine of the Middle East, Greece and, of course, Caucasian and Tatar. And now we will dive into the world of these dishes.

Ingredients for cooking lamb:

  1. Leg of lamb – 1 pc.;
  2. Garlic – 2 cloves;
  3. Olive oil – 100 g.;
  4. Sweet yellow pepper – 2 pcs.;
  5. Sweet red pepper – 2 pcs.;
  6. Onions – 2 pcs.;
  7. Carrot – 3 pcs.

  1. Cutting board;
  2. Than;
  3. Letter;
  4. Plate.

Cooking lamb.

Step 1: Process the meat.

First, remove the bone from the meat, in this case the shoulder blade. We also cut off the ugly end of the bone. We get clean meat. Then we wash it with water. Together, 2.5 kg of pure meat is obtained. After that, we fry the lamb in olive oil on all sides. Take the vessel deeper, because if you use an ordinary pan, everything around will be splashed with oil.


Step 2: Prepare the vegetables.

While the meat will be fried on all sides, we will have time to cut the vegetables. Therefore, we wash the products well with water and quickly cut the carrots into circles, the onion into half rings, the garlic in half, and then the pepper first in half and then into several strips. And we wait for the meat to be ready.


Step 3: We send the dish to the oven.

Put all the ingredients on a baking sheet. To begin with, we will put all the vegetables, after which we will put the fried meat on top. And then, to give the lamb an aroma and a slightly different taste, we season it with spices. I seasoned with cumin, coriander seeds, colored pepper, pepper and salt. Then pour a little oil on the vegetables and add water. Then heat the oven up to 200 degrees and send our dish to be baked 1 hour. We periodically look at this process so that the lamb is cooked evenly. To do this, change the position of the meat from time to time, that is, turn it over.


Step 4: Serve.

Cut the finished lamb into even layers and place in a plate.

We serve it together with baked vegetables, because they are very juicy and tasty. Just a pleasure, not a meal!

Advice:

– Lamb can be fried in sunflower oil.

– Mutton is prepared for about an hour, but you don’t need it, because you don’t have to every time. You check it by piercing it with a fork, if the juice is white, with a little pink tint, then the meat is ready. All the time, look at the liquid in the leaf, if it is not enough, add a little water so that the meat is not dry.
