On the territory of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, the police detained four people for hooliganism

Law enforcement officers detained four active participants of hooliganism on the territory of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.

They can be tracked by their behavior on video. Among the activists, one can see, in particular, men crashing into a crowd of women, pushing and shoving, women starting to shout loudly. And those who created it exclaim: “Women are beaten!”.

Passions flared up yesterday, April 19, after the completion of the work of the commission of the Ministry of Culture.

According to the Kyiv police, a group of people damaged the protective shutters and entered the premises, which the representatives of the commission inspected and sealed. The investigative and operative group of the Pechersk Police Department worked at the scene.

The law enforcement officers conducted a number of investigative actions and with the help of analysts of the capital headquarters, they identified the four most active participants who committed the offense.

They were detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and delivered to the police department. They turned out to be two women, born in 1986 and 1984, and two men, born in 1983 and 2001.

In agreement with the Pechersk District Prosecutor’s Office, the investigators informed the detainees about the suspicion of committing a crime, provided for in Part 3 of Art. 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — hooliganism. The sanction of the article provides imprisonment for a term of up to five years. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
