Date:

On Saturday, Prime Minister Mark Carney declared priorities that will determine the agenda of the G7 leaders of 2025, which will take place in Cananaskis, Alberta, from June 15 to June 17, 2025, in particular, just and long-lasting peace in Ukraine and other areas of conflict.

“Canada has what the world seeks and the values that others seek. Karney noted.

Prime Minister emphasized that Canada would look for arrangements and coordinated actions in three main areas:

Protection of our communities and the world – strengthening peace and security, combating foreign intervention and transnational crime, as well as improving joint response to forest fires.

Developing energy security and accelerating the digital transition – strengthening of critically important chains of supply of minerals and the use of artificial intelligence and quantum technologies for the deployment of economic growth.

Ensuring the partnership of the future is the catalysis of huge private investments for building strong infrastructure, creating high -paying jobs and opening dynamic markets where business can compete and succeed.

“Among other issues that will be discussed, there is a fair and long peace in Ukraine and other conflicts around the world, as well as a promising agenda that will attract partners outside G7, recognizing that our long-term security and prosperity will depend on the construction of coalitions with reliable partners.”

As reported on May 28, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has confirmed his participation in the G7 Seven countries, which will take place in June in Canada, while there are various signals for Ukraine’s participation in NATO Summit.
