US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that the United States is ready to continue peace talks for a few days and then “go on” and focus on some other problem, he admitted that in this case, US President Donald Trump would decide to get out of the peace process.
“If our efforts to stop the war in Ukraine fail within a few days, we will inform Trump President that negotiations are no longer a viable option. If both sides are seriously tuned to peace, then we want to help, otherwise we will go further,” – He told reporters During his departure from Paris after meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.
“We need to determine very quickly – and I talk about a few days – whether it is possible to do so in the next few weeks. If so – we are involved. If not – then we have other priorities,” he said in the video that it appeared on the network.

Rubio also announced the next meeting at the beginning of next week. At the same time, he added that there is no specific date. “I hope this will be a meeting where we will get more specifics. Rubio stressed that the United States is expecting “desires for ceasefire” from both sides of the Russian-Ukrainian war. “If they are serious about peace. One party or both parties, we want to help. If that doesn’t happen, we just go to other topics,” he said.
