Single mothers will also receive payments.
This year, 14 single fathers and mothers who are raising children on their own will receive the Kyiv Mayor’s Award. She reported about it Maryna Honda, deputy head of KMDA.
“In particular, the prize will be awarded to 5 single parents and 9 single mothers who raise their children independently. Their list was approved by the mayor’s order according to the protocol of the meeting of the commission of the Children and Family Service of the KMDA,” Maryna Honda said.
The amount of the award is 5,000 hryvnias. The funds will be allocated within the framework of the city’s target program “Children. Family. Capital 2022-2024” within the budget allocations of the program “State policy measures on family issues” for 2023.
We would like to remind you that the Kyiv Mayor’s Award for single parents and mothers raising children on their own was established in 2007 for financial support and increased attention to single-parent families.
In the capital, the Kyiv Mayor’s scholarship for outstanding figures in physical culture and sports was also established. Citizens of Ukraine who have reached the age of 60, live and are registered in Kyiv are nominated for the scholarship.
