Date:

The government has adopted an order to reduce electricity consumption for all state authorities. “Ministries, central bodies of executive power, regional state administrations should abandon the use of air conditioners, external lighting of buildings and the surrounding area. We also recommend law enforcement agencies, judicial authorities, and other state agencies to take similar steps. Local authorities – to limit street lighting”, – noted Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

Denys Shmyhal also called on businesses to limit the use of air conditioners and other energy-intensive equipment that is not critical for production. “The exception is that the use of air conditioners in hospitals and enterprises where air conditioning is part of the production process will not be limited,” the head of government said.
