The application for the transit of Russian gas through the GTS of Ukraine on Tuesday increased by 7%

Date:

The application for the transit of Russian gas through the territory of Ukraine on Tuesday increased by 7% compared to the nomination on August 12, according to the data of the “HTS Operator of Ukraine”.

The volume of the confirmed nomination through the Suja gas measuring station (GMS) is 42.4 million cubic meters. m against 39.6 million cubic meters. m – on Monday. This Russian gas supply route remains the only way to supply Russian gas through Ukraine to Europe.

Previously, the ex-head of the “Ukraine GTS Operator” Serhiy Makogon told the “Interfax-Ukraine” agency that measurements of physical volumes of gas at the Suzha gas station can be obtained automatically in a remote mode. In the presence of communication, it is technically possible to confirm physical volumes even without the presence of personnel at the station.

In his opinion, Gazprom continues to supply gas because it is very important for him to preserve Ukrainian transit to Europe, on which he earns $5 billion a year.

Makogon believes that “Gazprom” can declare a force majeure when there is physical damage to the equipment at the gas station, which will not make it possible to continue measuring gas volumes, but he did not reject the adoption of such a decision by the Russian side even before.

As reported, on August 8, The Washington Post, with reference to the adviser to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi, reported that the Suzha gas plant in the Kursk region, through which Russian gas further enters the Ukrainian gas transport system for transit to Europe, came under the control of Ukraine as a result of a military operation. ongoing, on Russian territory. Later, the relevant video was released by the Ukrainian military.

On August 12, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, reported that the Armed Forces control approximately 1,000 square meters. km of the territory of the Russian Federation and continue the offensive operation in the Kursk region.
