The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated more than UAH 2.6 billion, provided by the European Commission, to provide food for children in schools, reported Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
“This will make it possible to provide free hot meals for elementary school children in secondary education institutions, taking into account their needs,” Shmyhal wrote on the Telergam channel following the results of the government meeting on Tuesday.
He noted that the initiative is being implemented as part of the “Winter Support” program for Ukrainians.
According to the Prime Minister, in 2025, they plan to extend free meals to all schoolchildren.
