Ukrainian nuclear power plants are not yet able to supply the entire volume of generated electricity to the network. The power system cannot accept that much energy due to damage.
About this informs “Energoatom”.
As of noon on December 18, all 9 nuclear power units located on the territory controlled by Ukraine are operating.
“However, the capacity of the two units is limited by more than 600 MW due to the unpreparedness of the power system to receive all the possible amount of electricity from them, since the energy infrastructure facilities have not yet been restored after the shelling on December 16.” – says the message.
We expect the renewal of this infrastructure in order to be able to release the full available capacity from domestic nuclear power plants as soon as possible.
