The HomeDoctor telemedicine system enables Spanish doctors to consult Ukrainian patients directly

Date:

With the help of telemedical diagnostic devices, Homedoctor conducts telemedical consultations in primary medical care facilities in Poltava Oblast.

The Spanish telemedicine platform HomeDoctor enables the doctor remotely and the patient to conduct basic research independently: measure temperature, pressure, saturation, make an ECG, examine the ears, throat, nose, and skin, using telemedical diagnostic devices.

“To date, we have received one Homedoctor device per outpatient facility, so counseling takes place either directly in the hospital or at the patient’s home, but for now in the presence of a doctor. It is convenient and compact, it can be easily carried, – comments Lesya Nesvit, family doctor of Dykan outpatient clinic of general practice of family medicine of Poltava region. – We already have the experience of conducting a patient examination: he gets in touch through the family doctor’s gadget and with the help of the devices takes the indicators that the doctors need for appropriate conclusions regarding further treatment. We are improving the processes and in the near future, I hope, such a device will be at home in every patient. But it is already a great achievement that, living in the district center, our patients can directly ask questions to leading specialists from another country and receive qualified answers.”

With the help of HomeDoctor devices, Ukrainian-speaking doctors in Spain, and later Ukrainian doctors, will be able to remotely examine and consult Ukrainian patients in the most remote and difficult-to-reach regions of the country during the war.

Donors provided humanitarian aid to Ukraine in the form of: a telemedicine platform, 27 medical diagnostic devices and an unlimited number of licenses for users.

We will remind you that the specialists of the “Charite” clinic provide telemedical consultations to colleagues from Ivano-Frankivsk region.
