Date:

The Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko predicted when Ukrainians will stop turn off the light. According to him, the Ukrainian energy system can be stabilized and blackouts can be stopped by the summer, but there are some conditions.

He told about this in an interview with the newspaper Forbes.

Turn off the lights

According to the minister, the speed of restoration of light is related to shelling. If they are not there, then even taking into account the damaged generation, the system can be restored by the summer.

Galushchenko also said that one of the options for stabilizing the system is the import of electricity. He noted that Ukraine has already tested imports in small volumes.

“We are currently developing mechanisms that allow us to significantly increase the import of electricity. Now it is 600 MW — day, 700 MW night. Technically, the possibility is much greater 1.6-2 GW”, – he noted and added that, in addition to the import of electricity, air defense can help Ukraine.

We will remind, earlier the Minister of Energy Herman Galushchenko said that the energy system of Ukraine will be able to withstand all the missile strikes of the Russian invaders. This will be one of the steps that will bring our victory closer.
